Contractor Desk Associate

We are currently accepting applications for the Permanent, full-time position of Contractor Desk Associate

This position includes:

  • Greeting customers & providing outstanding customer service
  • Responding to customer inquiries & providing product and service information
  • Directing customers to products within the store
  • Operating cash register & managing financial transactions
  • Answering & directing phone calls
  • Introducing promotions & opportunities to customers
  • Ensuring store facility is kept clean, organized and well maintained
  • Performing material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking.
  • Working with team members to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Assisting in annual physical inventory counts
  • Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Assisting other departments as required

Skills required:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Dependable & motivated
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays

Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver

We are currently accepting applications for the permanent, full-time position of Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver

This includes:

  • Ensuring proper operating procedures of trucks and delivery of construction material
  • Verifying customers orders for completeness and ensuring that delivery trucks have appropriate products and materials
  • Performing other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking.
  • Loading, unloading and moving building materials to appropriate locations by hand or with material handling equipment
  • Operating forklift as required
  • Assisting customers, providing excellent customer service and providing product information
  • Learning safe handling procedures for moving the equipment
  • Marketing products and merchandise to contractors
  • Performing basic maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Ensuring store facility is kept clean, organized and well maintained
  • Working with team members to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Assisting in annual physical inventory counts
  • Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Skills required:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and in stressful situations
  • Must have ability to multi-task
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays

Boom Truck / Crane Operator

We are currently accepting applications for the Permanent, full-time position of Boom Truck / Crane Operator.

This includes:

  • Gaining knowledge of products, merchandise and services offered by the company
  • Attending boom truck operators course offered by the Atlantic Building Supply Dealers Association
  • Loading, unloading and delivering building materials to job sites
  • Maintaining delivery trucks and reporting any repairs required or issues with the trucks to fleet manager to ensure they are kept in safe working order
  • Performing other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking
  • Operating forklift as required to load and unload trucks
  • Receiving orders and stocking yard inventory as needed
  • Assisting customers in the yard picking up products and also providing product information as needed
  • Ensuring boom truck and warehouse are kept clean and well maintained for safety
  • Performing basic maintenance on trucks and equipment
  • Assembling and disassembling products for display as required
  • Working with team members to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Following and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Assisting in annual physical inventory counts
  • Additional duties as assigned.
